Where do I park?

Parking for attendees will be available in lot 436, 360, and 169 on campus. All parking is $15, and can be paid for on your phone (text/QR code) via the signs in each lot.

Where do I enter?

The main entrance for the festival will be via the gates on the SW side of Folsom Field, along Colorado Ave.

How much is it?

The Q BBQ Fest is fully ticketed. Please purchase a GA Entrance Ticket or a 3-hr VIP Pit Pass.

What methods of payment can be used at the festival?

We are a cashless event. Credit or Debit only for food, beverage, and other on-site purchases.

Can I sample the BBQ?

Yes! Every Pitmaster will be serving a BBQ dish (or two!) and side dish of their choice on Pit Row. All dishes are avaialble for purchase for GA ticket holders, or you will receive unlimited samples during your 3-hr session for all VIP ticket holders.

What is the average price of food and drinks at the festival?

Pricing varies for each vendor but on average, ranges from $3-12

How late will BBQ be served during the festival?

We’ll sell the BBQ until it runs out or the festival closes—whichever comes first!

What is a VIP Pit Pass?

With a VIP Pit Pass, you avoid the lines and can spend 3 hours alongside your favorite Pitmasters enjoying all you can eat BBQ, signature cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks in our Q Pit Lounge. You will also have access to the VIP-only live fire pitmaster experience.

Are the festival tickets date-specific, or can they be used any of the days?

Yes, all tickets are date-specific to make sure there is enough BBQ to go around and to ensure you have a comfortable and rewarding experience. The VIP Pit Passes are date and time specific. You will need to select one of the 4 VIP sessions if you are purchasing a 3-hr VIP Pit Pass.

Are dogs allowed at the festival?

Only service animals are permitted inside the festival grounds.

Are the cooking demos at the festival free to attend?

Yes, all demos are free to attend. Please visit our Demos page for more information.

Are guests without GA Pit Passes allowed in the Q VIP Pit Lounge?

No, they are not.

Are strollers permitted?

Strollers and wagons are not permitted within the festival grounds but can be checked at a kiosk near the main entrance.

What items are permitted at the festival?

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
  • One-gallon (or smaller) clear plastic Ziploc/freezer bag
  • Small clutch bags (no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” with or without a handle or strap
  • Medically necessary items after proper inspection at Entrances
  • Non-alcoholic beverages in approved factory-sealed plastic containers; 51 oz. / 1.5 liters or smaller (one per ticket holder)
  • Empty non-disposable plastic water bottles; 51 oz. / 1.5 liters or smaller (one per ticket holder)
  • Umbrella Strollers; if larger they can be returned to vehicle or checked in at Guest Services
  • Small personal cameras
  • Service Animals
  • Blankets

What items are prohibited at the festival?

Folsom Field complies with all TSA and Homeland Security prohibited items lists.

In addition, prohibited items include:

  • Bags or containers larger than 12” x 6” x 12”
  • No bags permitted at all; includes backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags
  • Clutches and purses must be the approximate size of the hand
  • Hard & Soft sided coolers of any size or style
  • Firearms or weapons of any type; including handguns carried in accordance w/ the Colorado Conceal & Carry Act
  • Selfie/GoPro Sticks, flags on poles, other types of sticks, poles or similar objects that can be used as a weapon
  • Fireworks, Drones or Laser pointers
  • Non-factory sealed beverages or filled liquid containers including all thermoses
  • Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs (including medical marijuana)
  • Glass or metal bottles or cans
  • Full size strollers
  • Umbrellas of any size
  • Artificial noise makers such as whistles, air horns, thunderstix or any other item used to make artificial noise
  • Any unapproved signs or banners
  • Professional grade video or camera equipment (e.g. telephoto lenses), tripods, or monopods.
  • Footballs, Frisbees, inflatable balls
  • Bikes, Scooters, Skateboards or skates
  • Pets / Animals (with the exception of service animals)
  • Balloons
  • Any other item(s) deemed dangerous or unacceptable by security.

CU-Boulder is a smoke free campus.

Is there a space for breastfeeding mothers?

Yes, we will have a dedicated space for use within the festival area.
